We missed dinner last night. Another couple dropped by and we sat outside snacking until it was practically time for bed. He’s a consultant to the brewing industry and always brings interesting beer. I didn’t make any notes on what we were drinking, but some of it was from Samuel Adams. He and I both hold stock in the company that is seriously underwater, so I’m always happy to see someone paying for their products. Actually, I found out last night that he doesn’t own any brewery stock - it’s all in his wife’s name to create a semblance of neutrality. Apparently he sometimes takes equity instead of a check which has resulted in his wife being among the top 3 shareholders of more than a couple craft brewers.
