I think something got lost in the memo.
It makes more sense that the first 8x351 would replace those 8x333 frames in the fleet but not on the same routes. From a route planning perspective, I would think they'll pull some 789s off of routes that are either on the long end of the range or could use some more lift (ie YVR-BKK/SIN/BNE, YYZ-ICN/DXB, YUL-DEL), swap them with a 351 and use those 789s to pick up the displaced 333 routes to Europe. It might even be possible to absorb the first 8 frames in YYZ/YUL so they have a pilot pool that's conveniently available.
