CX is only airline I can find with a published definition of preferred seats. They have different definitions.
For example AA limit MCE to AS &JV partners. QF now get MCE, but unknown if an error or policy change It
used to be for all with OW status could select MCE without charge. But AA downgraded seat options for those who are status holders with airlines outside the JV (BA, AY, JL and others).
