if you really don't want CSR, just PC. maybe freedom flex. its dining this Qtr. 5x (1+4). but base dining is already at 3x (1+2). so now its 7x total since base 1x included for both multipliers.

then apply for CSP for SUB. sounds like ur 0/24? then i prob dont need to ask about ur stats. prob instant approval.

Thanks everyone, for taking the time to help a Credit Card novice! Glad to know I would get warned about the SUB. If I don't get it, seems the CSP would not be worth it to me, based on Rare 's comments below.

Seems like I should PC to the Freedom Flex, then try to apply for CSP and see if I can get the bonus.
Is there a certain length of time I should wait after PC out of the CSR to apply for the CSP?

You can get 3X on dining with a free card like the Freedom Unlimited or Freedom Flex, but wouldn’t be able to transfer to points to United without a CSP or CSR (or one of the business cards that can transfer UR points).
That is a great point. I don't dine out THAT much, so the CSP would be for the SUB, then evaluate if I should keep.

I took a quick look at the Freedom Flex and it seems to be a cash-back card, not a card that accrues UR points. Am I missing something?
So if I don't get the SUB, and thus don't have either CSP or CSR, then I don't think I need to worry about transferring, right? I would be totally out of the UR ecosystem.
