Even with GRU at just 3x weekly it still eats up a full frame for the whole week to itself.

I've long predicted that YYC-FCO will eventually go year-round as Rome is a year-round destination. Surely the YYC-CUN demand can still be accommodated without tying up two 787s on that one route in winter season.
