DFW is definitely doing some nice things with Terminal C (the first newly opened gates are stunning), but from the view I got while taking the train around the under-construction Terminal F a few weeks ago, it didn't seem like it will be super impressive, and it doesn't even have it's own security, check-in, or baggage claim. All of that said, I too think that ATL could use a stunning new concourse or two, just not sure if they'll go for that.
What ATL has going for it is that the taxiway and runway layout is highly efficient and can handle the capacity currently. ORD is going to be a disaster this year once high season kicks in -- especially with any kind of weather -- with all of those RJs sitting around clogging up taxiways and gates.
