D-resort in Silberik, Croatia looks interesting and my friend, Mr. LTG, swears by Croatia, they might not have the biggest beach but they have a public boat tour, or can arrange a private boat, to hop around the islands visiting some great beaches. Reasonably priced as well. And a shuttle into town. Spain has a few choices also but not sure about the beaches. Cannes is nice, but the beach is a bit rocky.
