I thought that the annual fees went to the issuing banks, and a percentage of the spend went to Marriott.

Yesterday i posted two links about Marriott corporation and the stock price jumping 9% at the open from the previous day closing.
I assumed that the jump related to newly released numbers on travel spending -- some airline stocks reflected similar jumps. (That was CNBC's take on it, as well.)

That would be me. I travel where and when I'm going to travel. If some bonus points arrive in my account afterwards, great!
