You're entitled to your opinion, but my view is that the #1 benefit of elite status is not getting stuck in a crappy base level room, particularly when traveling on business or redeeming points.
Curious as to why the travel purpose, Business or Leisure, or whether it is a cash booking or a redemption, has any impact on whether one gets upgraded to a better room as a Bonvoy member with a particular status?
Please help me understand how a property would see those differently and offer or not offer UG's as a result?
