Personally, I would pick row 30D/G over row 33 anyways. Aside from the legroom, at least you are guaranteed your preferred meal choice, assuming that is a concern of yours. If you're not a CX diamond, row 33 is a bit of a gamble in that regard if your flight ends up being full in PY.
Just gave them a call, agent told me that he can't unlock that seat for me, one can only request the seat at counter on the day of departure.
Edit: May I also ask, compare 30G/31H which seat would better?
