Forget the web site, forget the official policy.
If you are going to arrive past midnight - call the property directly and ask them to note that 1) you are arriving
2) you are arriving after midnight
some places dump the reservation automatically at midnight, some do not but I have never had a problem, regardless of policy or IT or whatever, if I called and let them know.
