I really hope the answer isn't "no, in either of those situations, you get zero benefit for being Mosaic." If so, there's literally no reason for anyone to try for Mosaic 1 this year (if they know they can't make Mosaic 2 or higher). Either get the $99 credit card for a free bag on all bookings and/or use your United number, where it will be much easier to attain Silver status and you'll get almost all Mosaic 1 benefits on Jetblue anyway.
The problem is Mosaic1 and the CC both get you your 1st bag free, since there can ONLY be 1 1st bag, thats all you get 1 bag no matter how many different ways you can get your 1st bag free. Not sure about Intl but I believe in that case you get a 2nd bag for free but rely on me on that

If its worth being Mosaic1 anyways it depend son what you want, for me it gets me exit row or preferred seats for $0 at booking, Even More at OLCI, as well as for those on my Itin I believe now 4 max. Not sure UA will do that or the CC. Also free same day change (not on Basic) free beer or wine, when you need to talk to them you get thru alot quicker using the Mosaic 800#, the CC or UA will be useless, and I have the CC and LT Gold on UA but either wont be worth anything if I need to speak to a B6 agent and get something handled. That said I have no plans to hit M2 or higher, M1 will suffice for my needs. Now you and everyone needs to decide whats important to them and then decide what to do
