I’m sure it’s a lot easier to keep things quiet in the UAE than in the UK where things are more open.

Both BA and Virgin are in same situation having announced last year and neither have any aircraft equipped.

Looking at the airlines that have Starlink or announced it will be installed, Emirates was about a week from announcement to first flight; Hawaiian was almost 2 years, United was 8-9 months, Qatar about a year, so it varies and there is nothing unusual in the approach by BA.

As I said before, lots I’d of things to critique but I don’t see this as being one. It’s being worked on and will start in line with UK CAA certification and the appropriate details worked out. Without any inside knowledge, my guess is that IAG will target the A321neo and A350 fleets first as they have EASA certification which could help in getting UK CAA approval quicker.
