So I have a one-way ticket and she has a round-trip ticket, but to be clear we are on the same flight from SEA-TPE and I selected adjacent seats in the PS cabin. Both tickets were booked on Delta, com, all flights are Delta tickets on Delta metal with Delta flight numbers, and both are in fare class G. I am Platinum Medallion, my girlfriend is a nonstatus Skymiles member.

Here is the interesting thing: if you call up her itinerary and bring up the seat map, there is an upgrade offer to Delta One. However when I call up my itinerary, there is no upgrade offer . . .all the Delta One seats have the "X". I have attached screenshots of the seat maps (the one on the left is the seat map you see for her, the one on the right is the o ne you see for me; as you can see we are currently in PS seats 20H ["RC"] and 20J ["AK"]).

The upgrade offer is really no bargain ($2550), so I am not going to bite. But what concerns me is that as the flight date approaches, there is always a chance that the upgrade offer could change and become more palatable.

Why is she getting an offer to upgrade to D1 and I am not?

So why is my girlfriend getting this upgrade offer and I am not?
Have you tried bringing up your reservation using different devices and browsers? The app or not the app?

I don’t know enough to answer your question but I would suggest checking religiously as I recently accepted a very cheap upgrade offer on a very cheap PS fare and that was after weeks of rejecting various 4-figure offers that ranged from just overpriced to outright lunacy.
