Based upon my observation, the big issue for AC appears to be Toronto .Most everything at YYZ is of poor quality: The contractors, the supervision and the management. When there is a YYZ related delay or disruption, it poisons much of the network. Watch the baggage handlers in action. Often, there is little care shown to the baggage being loaded or unloaded. When there is a bit of snow or cold, workers don't show up for work. Bags pile up in the arrivals area and there are perhaps 1 or 2 baggage agents available to manage the mess. I see the cabin cleaning crews moving quickly at YVR and YUL. At YYZ, they come waddling along, slowly climbing the service stairs to an aircraft. I am more likely to experience a catering error or delay at YYZ than at any other Canadian airport. How is it tarmac workers in Calgary or Montreal can keep a runway clean or deice efficiently, but they can't manage that at YYZ? If my aircraft is obliged to wait for an open gate or for tarmac traffic to clear, it will almost always be at YYZ, followed by YUL. YYZ needs a change in attitude.
I guess we'll mark you down as un-decided on YYZ...LOL!!

Most of your pejorative statements are subjective and based on your personal experience which is a samples size of how many? Not sure how you see the cleaners 'waddling along and slowly climbing the service stairs' when they don't generally enter the jetway until most if not all PAX have deplaned? Do you have any statistics on AC employees banging in sick in bad weather at YYZ vs. other stations, is it really that much worse?

Keeping runways clean and de-icing are functions performed by the GTAA, not AC. YYZ has the largest de-icing facility in the world; it is centralized and by all indications best in class in terms of design, efficiency and environmental impact. That said, YYZ is a much larger airport, occupying much larger space than the other airports you mention, with often extended taxi times depending on how ATC has set up the airport to get from the de-icing pad to the active runway(s).

I'm far from an AC apologist, and everyone is entitled to their opinion and rant, but let's try to keep it reasonable, logical and as much as possible fact based.
