And you don’t have Alaska status, right?

So Alaska doesn’t let you put your AA number into an award booking. It’s hardcoded to only allow Atmos numbers. But it doesn’t require one. Set yourself up as another traveler in your Alaska account with no loyalty number. Then, after booking the ticket, you may be able to add your AA number on the AA website or by asking AA customer service. And then you can presumably, thanks to your AA status, select the extended legroom seat.
