The news sites are giving cautious but positive news generally about the Rolls Royce Trent Durability Enhancement Programme roll out. There remains a lot of work to be done for engines already in service, but they seem to be working steadily through them, and have now received certification and introduced into new engine manufacturing the Phase 2 of the programme, with further gains of on the wing time.
Reports suggest end of 2027 for all RR 787 engines globally to have undergone the modification.
Only time will tell where BA sits in the waiting list, and whether this long overdue modification will reverse RR recent poor fortunes in the new orders market.
