If you can get them to send the overage number at the close of a particular statement (and it is an onerous task), then it is easy to keep track going forward.

By that, do you mean calling WoH or Chase? What is the best phrasing of the question to avoid confusion, e.g. "What is my cumulative spend after my last $5k"?
