I thought this was interesting, that on a full club flight, no one had commented on the meals changing and perhaps shows that the average passenger doesn’t really care?

The paneer jalfrezi was really good. Tasty and spicy but not overwhelmingly so. One of the better Club Europe meals.

We got the cake, but interestingly handed out immediately after the meal. I thought it was meant to be a pre-landing snack? Sadly cake was not good, bone dry and very heavy and dense.

No snack baskets and no pro-active bar services post-dinner but crew were very friendly and reactive to the call bell.
I think another explanation is (i) people know that complaining to the crew often isn’t going to do anything and (ii) people aren’t often frequent fliers - they may be unsatisfied by the mean but not know that it is in part due to a recent cutback.
