It is different but certainly the drink provision is stronger than ever.

We spent 8 nights there in early January (see reports here and here), and I fully agree that food "has been scaled back substantially." I'm not sure why Travellingsunbear is hell-bent on convincing us that reducing a much more generous 11am-7:30pm menu to a more limited 11am-3pm menu isn't a significant reduction. To those of us who've been there multiple times, it clearly is. As for drinks, I can't say that I felt an appreciable change compared to years prior, allowing for the possibility that they simply ran out of rose champagne for the majority of our stay. That said, it appears as though the reports from Autumn 2025 of a major downgrade have not come to fruition (champange only at night, on-demand-menu gone). On balance, it is still an exceptional club lounge.

That menu looks better than we had 3 weeks ago, although still less than half of what they offered a year ago. I'm pleased to see that the wagyu club sandwich and truffle pasta are back. We were told that the menu will be updated regularly, so it's just a matter of luck (and personal preferences). This new iteration of the menu suggests that they are sticking with the more limited selection, though, and not reverting to the full menu and 11am-7:30pm availability.

I had planned to make another reservation for the NYE 2026-27 period. I was able to grab the IC for late Dec-early Jan the minute the schedule opened (for approx. 40k points/nt), but it has since shot up to €450 or 90k points. That's the IC, mind you. The Regent has not been open for booking at all for late Dec-early Jan dates. I checked daily, and nada. Not sure what they're planning on doing between Dec 26 and Jan 6, maybe they're holding it for an oligarch, who wants to book up the entire place? In any case, the adjacent dates are all around €800-1000, so the likelihood of us returning for another NYE on the cheap is very low. As for other dates, I'm lucky to have a couple points reservations at Regent locked in throughout 2026 in the US$200-250/nt range, which of course is exceptional value. Scrolling through the rate calendar now, it's rare to see rates below €500 even in low season, and the 120k points cap has disappeared. It's a lovely hotel and I appreciate the amazing deals we've gotten here over the last 3 years, but at those new rates, I'm really not interested. Going to the new IC (Halong Bay) and IC Danang on our next trip, and will be happy to return to Regent PQC if rates settle down, and will be delighted to check out PH PQC if it ever opens...
