Said EIN letter was also out of date (again.... IRS has no reason to send it repeatedly). So I sent some recent docs issued by the state and now waiting for another answer. Lots of clueless offshore reps that read the screen and tell me what they want.
3 Ink's and a WOH Business.
I havent opened a new card in more than 3 years personal or business (no time for SUB game). Instead I would open a card that has bonus specific for the category i am targeting and ONLY charge bonus spend. I max out the 3x and 5x on the chase cards, then then completely stop using the card for the year. So they probably hate me
I do have fraud alerts, there has been fraud (local mail theft, identity theft) in the 5 figure range on me, fortunately i catch them within minutes of it happening and get a police report almost immediately (its literally a freaking routine for me). The charges fortunately have gotten purged before they came due and i have (not yet) gotten any legititimate cards cancelled yet. There is even an open criminal case that they may call me to the stand (as victim) but i really dont wan't to.
Day 11 no approval yet

After faxing in the second set of docs almost 5 days ago, called recon line to see if they received it. They even ask me "what did you send us" and of course I answered "state tax papers for address verification" and the rep said "ok we will forward it to the appropriate department". Pretty surprising here, did they not touch it after I faxed it 5 days ago? Front line rep transferred me to the fraud department, and they just asked me one question "did you apply for the card" so it has to do with fraud alert I'm sure. But I did also answer this yes/no question 8 other times, in the 8 other phone calls logged in my phone total time of 1 hr 45 min.
Maybe it is a systemically designed process made to deter fraudsters, perhaps they dont like to spend 2 hours applying for 1 single credit card.
congrats. nice work. happy u got approved.
IMHO, it shouldve been instant approval. ur stats are totally clean. as u said, u dont play the game. and ur approval without "real recon" was proof.
the main issue was the fraud alert on ur CR. which one did chase HP? EX? which fraud alert? 1 or 7 yrs? do u have ur CR locked and frozen?
ur fraud alert is prob on all 3 CR and totally screws up the CC approval process. that is why u went thru the circus. tons of checks and verification and pple have no clue how to handle ur app.
also, do u have multiple CR monitoring services? i have many overlapping services to detect fraud. one from each CRA. they all provide paid services.
and u should use deleteme + incogni to remove all the public trash.
