AFAIK there should be no restriction on a connection. Bear in mind that the SS is now effectively all "restaurant " so I doubt you will want to spend the entire time there. Have a meal, walk the airport, go to the MLL (I'm not saying that will be any better, but different seating), maybe back to the SS for another meal to maximize sleep on the flight (I don't think this would be an issue). I have not done this but I'm certain someone here has.
