Breakfast Part 1 - Fruit Plate
And now for the reverse, HKG-LHR, on 02-02-26. My 2nd Club World experience. Not as good as the first one sadly - the crew felt a little tired, but the chap looking after my section was super upbeat. He did forget a few things though, my last plate, glass and napkin were not returned to the galley (I did this myself as I wanted to sleep!) and brought me the wrong dessert!
I looked at the menu initially and thought "Oh NO! SUPPERGATE!" but I thought that HK was out of the supper equation due to it being a 13 hour flight?
Perhaps not. Anyway the meal that arrived was rather substantial and not "supper" but was more "dinner"
A previous commenter was not a fan of the honey sesame beef salad - I really enjoyed it - it was indeed very similar to takeaway crispy shredded beef, but that's no bad thing in my book - perhaps not fine dining but certainly a local taste of where the flight came from!
I wasn't sure which main course to go with so went for the offbeat choice - it was very tasty pasta although it looks like a sloppy plate in the picture.
Dessert was not pictured as I forgot - it was very late in the day at this point. I ordered the cheesecake but received the white chocolate cake - it was still delicious.
The crew then handed out some extra fruit bowls after dinner. I had a nice sleep, although was woken a little by some turbulence over Kazakhstan and my seat-mate behind exclaiming "you've gotta be f***ing kidding me" a few times during the flight - he was staying up all the way through and working!
Breakfast was served a couple of hours out before landing, the fruit plate pictured was to start, and then there was a "Mexican" frittata (not sure why specfically Mexican - other than it had green peppers and jalapenos in?) - it was tasty, just no Mexican spices or sauces! I forgot to take a picture again - blame the jet lag.
We landed safe at 05:05 after a good flight. The A350-1000 is really quiet and lovely compared to some other planes - what a nice treat to fly in a decent and fairly new plane!
