It happened to me several times as well a few years ago. Always got full refund (hopefully !)

With the recent prices increases, I’m trying next month the Conciergerie service which is way cheaper (J flight from MRU)
Will report whether it’s worth it

Just landed from IAD this morning
Was surprised by the menu on board (only one starter and only one dessert…)
Lobster soup was very yummy though
