I don't know about other programmes, but with CX, the downgrade happens on Amadeus within 1 hour after midnight Hong Kong time. Your boarding pass should still print Emerald though.
But the latest version of the BP will be on the lounge attendant's tablet when the physical BP's barcode is scanned, including and not limited to new seat assignments and latest pax info.
