Oh, I know — but there was at least one person on here who did that, purchased the W fare that came back, and only then found out that it was one of the hidden, no-changes-allowed BE fares that were being marketed to Japan at the time. Now, it seems that advanced search for W excludes Basic Economy W fares… maybe. Actually, I have a theory it might be related to combinability — so I’d still double-check anything that comes back from doing advanced search for W just in case.
