With no bags this wouldn't be a problem, however as always the wait for your bags is the wild card. A Google search says DL's domestic bag cutoff time is 60 mins at JFK; That leaves you 50 mins to land, clear immigration, grab your bag, then take the train to T4 and check-in again with DL. Very tight.
So, no multi airline bag recheck after T8 customs?
