If you use your QR number during booking, BA will give you those benefits immediately after booking.

unless you have benefits on your ba status that you do not have on qr then using your bac account when making the booking just complicates things. I would recommend not being logged in.

Note that , ifventiteked,free seat selection may not be provided during the booking process but should be available in mmb after you have completed your purchase.
