Boeing and JAL just announced a major cabin refresh for 11 JAL’s 787-9. The refresh will come with improved inflight connectivity and updated seats. The retrofitted cabins will be consistent with the upcoming 787-9 deliveries.

According to Japanese wiki, JAL has 10 789 with SS and 12 with SSIII. I hope it’s the SSIII getting reconfigured and not the SS ones. It could also be a mix of both, with any frames not receiving the new interior eventually being transferred over to ZIP.
