Hi All,

Long time lurker, first time poster. I am looking to book an itinerary from the US to Australia with QF-operated flights. Given the relatively paltry tier point earn rates under the distance model on flights booked under a QF-prime code, I am instead looking to book the respective flights of the entire itinerary under their AA-codeshare flight numbers (all QF operated). My presumption is that my tier point earnings would be calculated under the spend model given the flights are marketed by AA as opposed to QF. Is that assertion correct?

It seems fairly straightforward but as the operating carrier is not a member of the transatlantic JBA, I wanted to make there wasn't some exception I am not aware of. I didn't think JBA membership was relevant, for example, but I digress.

Many thanks in advance for your guidance.
