There are two different scenarios;
- The arriving ac is delayed and CX believes that you cannot make the connection because of late departure/cancellation of the flight from NRT. Then they won't check your bags through and you have to make arrangements to change your HKG-HAN ticket. CX might be very busy rescheduling other pax on a single ticket.

- No major delay is expected and you are checked through. But some unexpected delay happens for take-off. Then CX should take care of you.
