The $20,000 spend level to get 5,000 loyalty points resets on March 1 right? So I wonder how long it will last as many average folks won't be getting $20,000 spend in a couple months. It would suck if someone gets to $19,000 spend later this summer and they withdraw that LP bonus without much notice.
Isn't it better to just cancel your Barclays and get a 90,000 miles bonus for signing up for the Globe card yourself rather than being transitioned?
Does anyone have any idea how long the 90,000 mile bonus will last? It was 80,000 most recently, and apparently the normal is 60,000 for that card.
If the Aviator card was being signed up for as late as October, one year from that is a reasonable guess as to when the transitional benefits and reduced annual fee will converge with the regular Globe card (Citi will have to honor the benefits for anyone who signed up for the Aviator card after 12 months before they take over (viz. anyone who signed up from May 2025 onwards), and it's probably not worth it for them to put in the effort to special case those cardholders).
