That "blackout period" applies to the "exchange each valid companion voucher for a discount code" not to the regular redemption of a WE Companion Voucher. That "exchange" is a new addition to the program for those that may not have a companion to fly with.

It is repeated twice elsewhere that there are no blackout periods for redemption of the WE CV.
