Indeed, same fare for PHX CDG and PHX LHR, so CDG LHR part would be for free, just additional CDG transit tax. For the way back, LHR CDG will attract a big APD tax, and if there is a stopover in Paris, much lower LHR tax but much higher CDG tax.
Just contact the LP desk, they will help. This is my reality living in Durham. Even cash tickets can be difficult if the Delta codeshare isn’t available, I often will have to build itineraries that have AF and DL flight numbers, but at least all on one ticket.
