Thank you for the update. You didn’t write that you spoke with an agent who identified themself as a Reconsideration agent or Credit Analyst.
Thus it’s impossible to know if the friendly and helpful human being(s) are Credit Analyst(s) and/or Reconsideration agent(s) or any of several other (types of) agents who might take phone calls. Many different agents in many different (Chase) departments can SEE and READ all of the information you wrote, only SOME agents (Reconsideration) can review and re-evaluate that same information and at their discretion sometimes change Pending or Declined to Approved.
Considering that legitimate 5/24 and over has been non-reviewable (non-reconsiderable) for several years, even for those who previously may have been exempt (e.g. CPC for a while), given the described situation there was no reason for a legitimate reconsideration discussion hence many other agents might NOT (offer to) transfer to Credit Analyst and/or Reconsideration agent.
It’s an understandable misunderstanding. Year ago, during my first few calls to “Chase Military Services”, where calls were always answered quickly by friendly and helpful and very efficient human being(s), all of whom apparently had a great deal of Chase experience, I was told several times they could do ANYTHING that other Chase telephone agents could do. UNTIL I called them for a Reconsideration discussion, when they could see every detail of the application and tell me exactly why it was pending or declined, and then told me I had to speak with a Credit Analyst or reconsideration agent.
