JKIA/NBO Lounges if flying domestic

Hey all,

So I'll be flying domestically from Nairobi to Mombasa, Kenya and will be bringing a friend with me who has only flown once before (2 summers ago). She has had a tough life (f born and raised in the slums of Nairobi) and would be absolutely blown away by any average lounge, so I really want to do.

I have some particular questions though:

Terminal 1 vs Terminal 2

I have flown out of T1 internationally before and T2 domestically before (they are not attached). T2 is tiny and has 2 suspect lounges that I can't find any info on or photos (Mara and Mount Kenya Lounges). The perk about T2 is I could fly Skyward Express, which is a decent jet for this short hop and they serve free snacks and beverage aboard the flight.

Terminal 1 - The only part of Terminal 1 that is domestic is Terminal 1D on the ground floor. My question is, would I be able to access any other part of the airport, to go to the lounges? In an upper-level is a Plaza Premium Lounge - would I be able to access that area? I assume that I wouldn't be able to reach international lounges in the terminal, like the Turkish Lounge.

Or, in terminal 1D there is a KQ Musifari Lounge, but I can't find any reviews or photos of it. Would I be able to access it if I bought domestic first/business seats on KQ?

I also have an Amex Plat and am fine with upgrading to KQ domestic first/biz if that could get me into any KQ lounges.

Thank you!
