I mentioned in another thread recently how ages ago when I was in the military, I ended up staying in a USO at least once. They had cots, blankets, and pillows (possibly sheets too), and put out coffee/drinks/snacks in the morning. It certainly wasn't ideal, but it was right in the airport, and when nearby hotels were full, it was tough to beat the location.

Certainly AA and other airlines, should be able to have a similar setup in some of the airport crew rooms, to use in extraordinary circumstances.
