On Sunday, as I was getting stuff ready for the trip, Mrs.SG discovered that her NEXUS (Canadian GE) expired in December. That meant no more US Pre Check. I knew that renewal would very likely require an in person review due to the current political situation between the US and Canada so Sunday evening I processed a post expiration with a change to US Global Entry. Monday morning at 9 AM she got an approval notification which said she was Approved without an in-person interview and that her Pre was reinstituted and immediately usable.
Now she can reapply for NEXUS and hope that she gets waived for an in-person.
