I am prepared to be corrected, but at LHR T5 and other airports there seems a propensity to advertise ‘boarding’ on the lounge screen only to find it’s ’go to gate’ amongst the real people. I’ve not quantitatively recorded this, but it’s real enough to make me feel it’s simply to wean us fattened calves off our Cuvee Louise in time to board at G0. YMMV.
