My Globalist era is ending (at least for the foreseeable future), so I’m planning a little tour of some of the top properties in Asia and hoping to stay at Park Hyatt Tokyo before heading home. I stayed there once in 2016 and loved it – would like to repeat the experience and see the updates.

My flight arrives at NRT on Feb 26 around 3 PM, so I figure I won’t get to the hotel until roughly 5:30–6:00 PM. I noticed the points pricing for the base room type is 40K on Feb 26 and 45K on Feb 27.

Is it worth paying the extra 5K points for the Feb 27 night just to be able to check in earlier, or should I just book the 40K night on Feb 26 and check in that evening? Regardless, will likely spend the other night at HTH.
