Didn't use the check-in counter bag drop (I guess it moved from the end of Terminal C level 3 at the bag drop shortcut to level 2, or maybe I just mis-remembered), but I used it at the security checkpoint at EWR yesterday and it worked flawlessly.

Always remove my glasses when standing in front of the camera as they have thrown off every form of facial recognition I have ever encountered though...

Also, the touchless logo prints on online BPs generated by UA.com (although the current check-in flow on actually checking in doesn't give a print BP at home option, you have to go back and revisit the already checked-in reservation to do so), but the newer kiosks at EWR Terminal 3 (portrait mode larger touchscreens) only print the standard TSA PreCheck and Premier Access logos, not the touchless precheck logo...
