I chased gold when I was travelling to London once or twice a week in Economy (Although even then I wouldn't have gone out of my way to spend £4,500 to get it). I'd say it is very arguably worth it if you regularly fly economy (At least once every 2 weeks). Otherwise imo it isnt.
