Based on your description I don't understand why you want an AMEX Platinum card? If you already have Priority Pass membership via your Bonvoy Brilliant you'd be far better off getting your preferred airline club card vs. the AMEX Platinum.
You must not fly much because otherwise you might know that PP lounge network within the USA is incredibly weak and virtually worthless. Even when there is a PP lounge it is often in the wrong terminal, requires another trip to security or is waitlisted. And of course airline-specific lounges only work if you have a boarding pass for that airline. For free agents - even those of us at UA hubs - that just doesn't work.
So yes, I value the access that Amex Plat card provides to Amex lounges and DL lounges, so long as I can access the lounges. Crap1 and Chase don't cut it due to limited footprint. So I'm good with the new rules and hope Amex will go even further and cap visits for CL.
