Has anyone had recent experience with cancelling an airline ticket (United Airlines) booked via the Chase Travel Portal (using points)? Do you receive a refund (credit) that must be used on the Chase Portal, or a UA voucher that can be used for booking directly with UA for a future flight? I have the choice of using points directly on UA or booking by using Chase points on the portal, and that method uses significantly less points. The trip is expensive and a long way in the future so I am concerned about what happens if it gets cancelled. Have read many horror stories. Wondered if this is still true with the new Chase portal?
