I find the breakfast pretty dire - cheap, low quality food items, though I could say the same about the LAX Hilton. Staff are always nice though.

You don't have to go down to the tunnels to get to the ORD Hilton. You can just walk out from the baggage levels and find the crosswalk that will take you across the street to the hotel (the crosswalk often has a traffic control person in the area to chase off waiting cars and to assist people crossing; 5 minute walk at most. If it's raining or snowing the tunnels may be a better option.
