I personally get huge benefit from the Air NZ Partner Airline booking portal. I can regularly get return business class fares on SQ from Singapore to plenty of destinations within South East Asia, for $600 APD return. $300 return for economy. Plenty of availability. Often less than half of the fare SQ charge to book direct. From my point of view, this is the best method to get the most value from airpoints redemption.
Certainly is good value. I have a BKK-ICN booked one-way in biz for APD 650, well below what TG or OZ wanted for a cash fare.
SIN is a nice hub, but expensive these days if overnighting to de-risk the separate tickets.
SIN to ??? <2000km at APD 150 economy and APD 300 business one way (plus taxes). Jumps up to APD 500 for biz 2000-2999km one-way, and then APD 650 for 3000-3999 km.
