D30 on Thursday was similar, but for some reason I didn’t have the Touchless on this boarding pass. Saw a guy skip the whole line, get photoed and told it failed, asked him for an ID and in he went. I've had that happen at DCA going thru Touchless. Said the photo returned a slight variation of my name that didn't match exactly on my boarding pass. (could have been a suffix like JR at the end missing or present, not sure). TSA guy said go on thru, but also told me in future talk to the airline and have them fix things to match boarding pass and ID, but would NOT tell me what was actually the mismatch. I'm likely to always be the guy who gets the error and gets waived in. How can I ask AA to fix what I don't know is mismatched? Ugh
