I am surprised for a route like JFK that there was no discussion of rebooking on another of the many daily AA/BA flights in order to maintain you in J, or even looking at EWR as an alternative. I guess that was never raised at the gate by the agent.
I’m really surprised as well. I was offered an EWR alternative on a JFK flight last week, because of defective seat table. Good luck getting this sorted!
