others flight options to switch to didn’t have D1 left or would be standby so I stayed on original flight. No offering of vouchers for food at the airport (usually automatic in past for me).
I will submit a request for some compensation via the form and see if I can get some skymiles. Crew on plane was great and pilot was very apologetic and admitted it wasn’t up to delta’s standards which was nice to hear.
Since you were in D1, did the D1 lounge not let you back in during the delay? They allowed me to do so in a similar circumstance while they worked on a maintenance issue.
