I can only see this terms and conditions statement after logging in as a Cathay member. In other words, passengers who hold elite status with other oneworld airlines would not normally be presented with, or asked to agree to, this Cathay-specific terms and conditions.
Passengers holding elite status with another airline agree to the terms and conditions of their own frequent-flyer programme, not to the Cathay membership programme terms. Therefore, a Cathay membership terms and conditions clause should not automatically apply to oneworld status holders from other airlines.
In my case, I hold Emerald status through Iberia and accessed The Pier F based on that oneworld Emerald entitlement. I am NOT using Cathay Silver status to access the lounge.
Given that the lounge access was derived from oneworld Emerald status rather than Cathay membership status, it is unclear how Cathay membership terms and conditions—which are only visible and applicable after logging in as a Cathay member—should apply to this situation
